The Trans Canada Trail is an on-going project which is being funded by individual donors as well as government and corporate sponsors across Canada. When completed, the trail will be 15,000 km. in length.

The Ontario Trails Council promotes the creation, preservation, management and use of an integrated recreational trail network for the public.

Hike Ontario is a co-ordinating body for hiking trails in Ontario.
