For safety reasons the private property sections of RTA trails are closed from Monday November 3rd to Sunday November 16th 2025 when rifles, shotguns and muzzle loading guns  can be used in addition to bows. Only hikes that are conducted in Provincial Parks, Conservation Areas, public areas and confirmed areas where there is no hunting are permitted. Through-hikes of the entire trail should NOT be undertaken in this time frame. Further guidance can be found on the trail alert page.
